The California Impressionism Art Gallery is to showcase impressionist paintings in the state of California. Specifically, our art gallery is focused in the 20th century where the California Impressionism movement took place. The vision for our California Impression Art Gallery is to showcase impressionist artists that inspired this movement. The artists that were chosen for this gallery were seen to have the biggest impact on other artists during the 20th century.
Our mission for this art gallery is to expand if not to give the audience knowledge regarding California Impressionism art especially in the 20th century. As a group, we want you to know the importance of this gallery. We hope to do this though our collection of well-established artists of that era. Also, we hope to encourage you to learn more about the topic of California Impressionism in the 20th century.
In our art gallery, the impressionist paintings were chosen to represent the California Impressionism Movement that took place in the 20th century. The ideas of these paintings from every artist were similar to each other. Each painting show some type of emotion that the artist was feeling when making this painting. Also, all of the artists showed their talented skills as they specialize in capturing a specific moment through their paintings. Lastly, each artist mostly focused on painting California's landscapes.
The artists that were chosen for our art gallery were Paul Dougherty, Christian Von Schneidau, Guy Rose and Benjamin Chambers Brown. Paul Dougherty was chosen for his amazing impressionism paintings of the coastlines or marine life. Christian Von Schneidau was chosen for his Impressionist landscapes of California's wilderness and people. Guy Rose was also chosen for his impressionist paintings of the wilderness, marine life and of people. Benjamin Chambers Brown was the last artist chosen for this gallery due to his impressionist paintings of California's landscape.
